AOL Corporate Website Redesign

My design for a new AOL Corporate website launched recently, including a “sticky notes” navigation scheme, which allows users to dynmically browse current openings and read quotes from current AOL staffers.

AOL Corporate Environment Video on YouTube

Shortly after the lenticular wall was installed at AOL’s corporate headquarters in Dulles, I discovered this video posted on YouTube from one of the AOL staffers, of their experience walking down the new corridor. (Don’t ask me to explain the LL Cool J playing in the background.)

This corridor installation in AOL’s corporate headquarters was designed to announce the new direction of the company, from a member-supported to an advertising-supported business model. My lenticular wall installation features a dynamic graphic ribbon when walking in one direction, and a series of photos when walking in the other.

AOL Animation and Mnemonic

Design consultancy Tomato did a fantastic job animating the AOL brand language and creating a unique mnemonic for these AOL bumpers, which were designed to be used across a variety of media, including web and mobile.  (Click image to play)
